what a look!
The reviews had me convinced that it would take me a while to learn how to put on this eyeliner but it wasn't the case! The eyeliner goes on smoothly and looks so very elegant! It also stays on a bit longer than my eye pencils have which is a BIG PLUS.
Lasts so well!
I’ve been trying to switch to more eco friendly products whenever possible, but make up was always so difficult. This eyeliner works so well, I was beyond surprised. I napped in it, taught dance classes for 6 plus hours, and it was still exactly in place. It goes on easy and is just as pigmented as my other Sephora liquid eyeliners. It’s not waterproof so it does fade when you have excessively watery eyes or sweat but I like that it just fades, it doesn’t smudge or give you raccoon eyes. I highly recommend this and the mascara!
Love this liner!
Very easy to use and does not look harsh. Nice little brush that comes along with it which makes it easier to keep clean lines. Highly recommend it.
A zero waste option for winged liner!
I’ve been on the hunt for a zero waste eyeliner for a very long time, so I will do my best to give a detailed description for those out there searching!! What I used to use: KVD Tattoo Liner (i use my eyeliner primarily for top-lid winged/cat eye vibe) What I’ve tried: Fat and the Moon eye coal, Besame cake mascara, elate eyeliner (great but not fully plastic free), pencils, and eyeshadows. All, save for Elate, ended up on the hood of my eyes before the end of the day. While I use Elate for most of my swaps, I wanted a fully plastic free option for eyeliner. Consistency: paste-like, thick but easily spreadable (like toothpaste but smooth not sticky) Ease of application: It will take some patience. I’ve been meddling in cake mascara for eyeliner, eyeshadow as liner, eye coal (can you say panda eyes?!), etc. As a result, I feel fairly comfortable with taking my time to paint on eyeliner. If you’re familiar with a gel/brush technique, you’re golden! If you’re expecting the quickness and ease of a plastic applicator and felt tip, I would adjust expectations. Chances are though, if you’re here, you’re up for the challenge for a more sustainable option :) A goof angled brush (and maybe a fine tip brush if you’d like) is really all you need! Truly within 2-3 applications, I felt like I nailed it. I needed time to adjust to the thicker consistency of the liner. Smudge factor: Nada. Zip. Nothing. Literally floored me. I had one coughing fit where I stupidly rubbed my eyes as tears were streaming, and of course, that smudged. It isn't waterproof and that is well advertised. But just normal day wear/sweat/oil? Solid. Thus a winner in my book! Value: This itty bitty glass container is gonna last me forevvvvvver. Daily cat-eye peeps, just do it. It’s so so so much product! Final thoughts: It can look a little cakey once dry if you glob it on your eye, which I did at first. Once you’re more comfortable with the consistency, you will avoid that and learn to spread it more evenly (or maybe I’m just the newbie that sucks at it)! This is a great product! It is 100% worth giving it a try. I’m a customer for life!
Great Zero Waste Option!
I have hooded eyelids so It's very difficult for me to use natural make-up but this one does a pretty good job! I usually keep it more towards the corner of my eye anyways but once it is dry it sticks on there pretty well. Its not super dark black but I think its fine. I'm so happy to have a zero waste product and that I get to keep my wings! It does come off easily if you touch it. So if you have very hooded eyelids, you are very very oily or sweaty around the eyes, or you tend to touch your eyes a lot I could see that those types of people would have issues with this product. I also have super sensitive skin and it has not been irritating at all! Overall its great and it comes in an adorable little bottle that will probably last me at least 4 months!
It took me a couple of tries to figure it out but this is my favorite eyeliner that I have used...ever. love the ingredients, the packaging and it stays put all day. Love this stuff and won't go back to the drugstore brand.
