Easy, pretty makeup looks for your specific undertone

Which makeup shades look incredible when they’re matched up with your personal coloring?

Skip ahead to see the looks we created for you— but want to know how we did it?

That’s down to a few factors: your skin’s undertone, your eye color… and your mood.

‘Undertone’ just means the hues underneath the topmost layers of your skin. Undertones beneath every skin tone can range from yellow to peachy to olive, pink, blue, or even a combo of those.

Obviously, the best colors for you are your favorite ones! But it’s fun choosing makeup and jewelry colors that set off your natural tones.

A super simple way to check your undertone:

  • Are they more blue-purple? You’re most likely cool-undertoned, and look best in silver jewelry.

  • How about more greenish? You’re likely warm-undertoned, and set off with gold.

  • A combo of both? You’re probably neutral, and can play in all colors!

Next up, your eye color.

Now, there are *so* many colors within the umbrella of “brown eyes,” from light honey tones to chestnuts to stunning deep chocolates. Same with blues and greens– brilliant icy shades to dark sea tones, and hazels and jades.

But for picking eye makeup, like shadows, liners, and mascara shades, we wanted to recommend tones that tend to set off browns, or blues, or greens.

And mood?? Really?

Yes, because the look or lewk is what you’re FEELING. Maybe it’s nothing but a swipe of the my-lips-but-better tinted balm today… or, a glorious red lip and allover highlighter for the trip to the grocery store.

There aren’t actually rules that matter! Except that our products will always protect you and the earth.

So, from people who’ve spent many hours with testers at the makeup store, here’s a simplified mini lookbook, with our favorite plastic-free makeup that works.
