Where do you ship to?
We currently ship to the US and Canada
What carriers do you ship with?
All orders ship standard via USPS First Class or Priority, or UPS Ground depending on order size and weight. If you'd like a specific service, please select it at checkout.
How long will it take to get my order?
Our processing times are 1 - 5 business days, excluding federal holidays.Â
Unless you upgrade your shipping method, orders have an average of 3 - 5 business days in transit in addition to our processing time.
How much does shipping cost?
All orders over $25 ship free within the United States. Upgraded shipping is available - rates are calculated at checkout.
International shipping to Canada will be calculated at checkout based on carrier estimates.
Do you ship plastic free?
Yep! We ship entirely plastic free. All our shipping materials are made from recycled materials and are entirely paper based, making them 100% compostable and recyclable. Even the tape is compostable!
How do you ship sustainably?
We ship Carbon Neutral and 100% plastic free!

Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
We have a 30-day risk free return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return for any reason. Please note, we cannot accept returns on final sale items, shipping costs or gift cards.

How do I send my order back to you?
Please email contact@zerraco.com with your order number to start your return.
If you purchased within 30 days of contacting us, we will email a return shipping label to you.
Can I exchange an item?
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. Please email contact@zerraco.com
How can I cancel my order?
Please note we cannot guarantee cancellations after your order has been placed. Please email us at contact@zerraco.com with your order number and we will let you know if your order can be cancelled.
Sustainability & Brand Ethics
Do you ship Carbon Neutral?
Yes! We ship carbon neutral in all directions - outgoing orders to online customers, returns and Container Return shipments.
Do you ship plastic free?
Yep! We ship entirely plastic free. All our shipping materials are made from recycled materials and are entirely paper based, making them 100% compostable and recyclable. Even the tape is compostable!
Why don't you use compostable mailers?
We don’t ship with compostable poly bag alternatives because we don’t feel they are the most sustainable option. They’re made with PBAT which is a petroleum derivative. This goes against our plastic and petroleum free mission, so we use recycled paper mailers instead, which are completely biodegradable.
Do you use any single-use plastic components?
Being 100% plastic free is the ultimate goal, but currently there are some plastic components in certain packaging, such as the low waste mascara reducers or the lining in some lids. We strive to keep plastic use to an absolute minimum and only incorporate what we feel can be reused over and over if no other alternatives exist.Â
Most of our product packaging materials are glass, aluminum, paperboard and bamboo.
How does the Container Return Program work?
You can return any of our glass or metal containers in good, working condition with the lids in exchange for store credit. Email us at contact@zerraco.com and tell us your mailing address along with how many containers you are sending back. We will email you a paid shipping return label.
Another option is to choose to include a Container Return Label with your order at checkout; we will print a return label and include it in your package so that once your container(s) are used and empty, you can easily send them back!
You can also drop your containers off at any of our retailers.
Are your products cruelty free?
Yes! We are Leaping Bunny certified, which means that our products are certifiably 100% free of animal testing. You can learn more on the Leaping Bunny FAQ page here!
Products & Ingredients
How are your products made?
We craft our low waste cosmetics by hand in small batches in Baltimore, MD. Each product is thoughtfully made by people who care just as much about the environment as you do!
How are product prices determined?
Our products are are priced where they are because every single product is hand crafted by someone who cares just as much about the environment as you do.
Not only that, from the raw ingredient to the final product, we believe in ethical and fairly paid labor no matter the cost. Along with our plastic free packaging, these costs can add up.
That being said, we also believe in pricing our products fairly. Our goal is not to line our pockets, but to provide clean cosmetics at an affordable price so that more people can adopt a lower waste beauty routine.
Can I refill my empty Zerra & Co. containers?
Some of our retailers do carry Zerra & Co. products in bulk! Find a retailer near you on our Where to Find Us page!
If there isn't a retailer near you that carries our products in bulk, you always have the option to return your containers to us as a part of our Container Return Program! You can then place a new order for the same product.
Some of our products, such as our Liquid Lotion or Gel Face Wash also have a refill option. Shop refills here!
Are your products vegan and cruelty free?
All of our products are Leaping Bunny certified cruelty free and we only purchase ingredients from cruelty free suppliers.Â
All of our products are vegan, except for The Balm, which currently includes local beeswax. We are working through the last of our supply and once we run out we will switch to the vegan wax used in our other lip balms. Once we transition The Balm over, then our products will be 100% vegan!
Do you use palm oil or palm oil-derived products?
Yes, but we only use RSPO certified palm oil products.
Are your products free of major allergens?
Our products are gluten free but are not produced in a gluten free facility. We do use nut oils and coconut oil in a some of our products. We always recommend you read the ingredient label for each individual product.

Is the Iron Oxide you use ethically sourced?
The iron oxide that we use is synthetic and so it is not mined; we cannot use natural iron oxide as it has been found to have traces of hard metals i.e. lead.
Is the Mica you use ethically sourced?
Yes, we only partner with companies who don't source Mica from India. We only work with suppliers who are transparent about their supply chain and ethics.
How do I know which foundation shade to choose?
We're happy to offer shade matching services for our Mineral Powder Foundation! Just email contact@zerraco.com with a makeup-free selfie in natural lighting, the color of the veins on the insides of your wrists (these are usually green/teal, blue or purple/blue) and information on a foundation that you currently use that suits you well (brand and shade name).
Please note:Â If we shade match you, this is only guaranteed for 30 days. For example, if you get shade matched in April and don't purchase until September, we cannot guarantee that the inital shade we matched you with will still fit perfectly since skin tones change throughout the year.

We're looking for affiliates who are low waste & sustainability focused. We aren't as focused on the number of followers, as long as you have the right message and look. Refer your friends, family and followers and earn a commission from their orders.
